Since August 2010, Korea National Research Resource Center(KNRRC) have been cooperating with Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute(TAWIRI) on bioresources with support from Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning and National Research Foundation of Korea. Two organizations signed MOU and Material Transfer Agreement in May, 2011 for the cooperation on resource research seeking mutual benefit in appreciation of the treaty of Convention on Biological Diversity. The KNRRC participants in this project are the headquarters and three resource centers; Arthropods of Medical Importance Resource Bank(AMIB), Culture Collection of Antimicrobial Resistant Microbes(CCARM) and Parasite Resource Bank(PRB). For long-term resource management, the Tanzania Wildlife Research Resource Unit(TWRRU) was opened in January, 2013 at the TAWIRI headquarters in Arusha.
